Q1. How can I check if my online registration was processed successfully?
A1.Check your email (inbox, junk mail & spam) which you have provided us with for the acknowledgement email. Alternatively, you may also logon to Check Registration Status with your Handphone no/email address to check on your course(s) enrolled.

Q3. Is the RES course eligible for the UTAP funding?
A3. Yes. UTAP claims will only be available after completion of the course; submit the course completion certificate and the receipt to NTUC to make the claims.
Q4. When is the last day I can register for the course?
A4.The registration of course will be closed 3 working days before the course start date or when the class is fully booked.
Q5. How much is the course fee?
A5. It is $834.60 (inclusive of GST). This includes RES Revision before the exam, but not the Examination Fees.
Q6. Is the course fee inclusive of the exam fees?
A6. No. The exam fee is $512.30 (inclusive of GST). It is to be paid to the provider. (NTUC Learning Hub)
Q7. Is the course fee inclusive of the course materials?
A7. Yes. The course materials will be email to participants 3 working days before the commencement of the course.
Q8. What is the minimum requirement for me to be eligible to take up the RES course?
A8. You have to be at least 21 years old, with a minimum of 4 GCE ‘O’ level passes, or a qualification that is equivalent (Subject to CEA’s approval)
Q9. I do not have at least 4 GCE ‘O’ level passes. How do I go about applying for the course?
A9. Minimum requirement, you must have 4 GCE ‘O’ level passes
Q10. I am a Diploma / Degree holder, however my qualification certificate is from a local private school (SIM / Kaplan / Shatec / NAFA etc.), am I qualified to apply for the course?
A10. No. Kindly be advised that you will need to send your qualification certificates to CEA for assessment. You are able to sign up for the course once you receive the approval email from CEA.
Q11. I am a Diploma / Degree holder, however I am holding on to a foreign certificate, am I qualified to apply for the course?
A11. No. Kindly be advised that you will need to send your qualification certificates to CEA for assessment. You are able to sign up for the course once you receive the approval email from CEA.
Q12. How do I go about applying for the CEA assessment?
A12. Candidates who wish to submit their qualifications (e.g. overseas qualifications or private diplomas) for assessment by CEA to determine if they would meet the educational qualification requirement may do so through CEA’s e-services
Candidates must attach all supporting documents when submitting their application. CEA does not accept education certificates certified by a notary public as a form of verification proof. Candidates without original copies of the graduation certificates, are required to provide a letter of confirmation of award/duplicate copy from the issuing institutions/universities. For bachelor and above qualifications from China, candidates are required to provide a verification proof either from the China Higher Education Student Information and Career Center (CHSI) or China Academic Degrees & Graduate Education Information (CDGDC) if they do not have the original copies of their certificates. CEA will inform the candidate of the outcome of the qualification assessment.
Q13. How long will CEA take to process my assessment?
A13. CEA will take about 3 to 4 weeks to get back to you with the results via email.
Q14. CEA have not got back to me, will RIA School know the results of my CEA assessment?

Q15. What do I have to bring along during the first day of class?
A15. Do bring your original copies of educational certificates if we have reminded you to do so for verification.
Q16. Are there document(s) that I have to submit before the course?
A16. Yes. Kindly submit your Local Original Qualification Certificates (at least 4 GCE ‘O’ level passes) to [email protected] before the course start date.
Q17. What is the minimum requirement for attendance to get the Certificate of Completion?
A17. You will have to achieve at least 75% attendance in order to be issued the Certificate of Completion on the last day of your course. Please ensure that you have scanned IN and OUT of every lesson for your attendance to be counted. Express & Weekend – 2 lessons/day; Evening – 1 lesson/day
Q18. If I cannot make it for some classes, can I attend any replacement class?
A18. Yes. Kindly check the available schedule online and email to inform us ([email protected]) the date(s) that you will be coming back for replacement class(es). You will have to submit your sit in form latest 5 days before the commencement of your sit in intake. Please scan IN and OUT for all sit in lessons as well.
Q19. I want to apply for the exam as soon as possible. Can I get my Certificate of Completion earlier?
A19. No. Certificate of Completion is strictly given out on the last day of your class.
Q20. When is the latest date that I must enroll for the exam?
A20. The Certificate of RES Course Completion has a validity period of 2 years for the purpose of determining eligibility to take the RES examination. Candidates are eligible to take the RES examination within 2 years from the completion date of their RES Course. Beyond the validity period, candidates will be required to attend and complete the RES course again before they become eligible to take the RES examination.
Q21. I misplaced my Certificate of Completion, how can I request for another copy?
A21. The Certificate of Completion can be reprinted at $10.70 (inclusive of GST). Do email us ([email protected]) for any request for reprint of certificate.
Q22. I misplaced my course notes. Where can I purchase it?
A22. You may purchase it at $50 (inclusive of GST) for 2 files (Paper 1 and Paper 2), Or $30 (inclusive of GST) for 1 file at –

Q23. Is Revision Class free?
A23. Yes, Revision Class is included in the course.
Important Notice: Please be informed that attending the RES Course and passing the RES Examination do not automatically qualify an individual to be a real estate salesperson. The applicant has to comply with the full registration requirements stipulated under the Estate Agents Act, which include meeting the fit & proper criteria. Please check the complete list of registration criteria on CEA’s website before registering for the RES Course.
“For foreigners who wish to register with CEA as salespersons, they will need to have a valid Employment Pass (EP) issued by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM). They should consult an estate agent that is prepared to support their future registration application, who would then check with CEA. Thereafter, when they register for the RES Course, they will need to produce a letter of support from the estate agent.”
